Born and raised in Cleveland, OH, history was always around me. World class arts institutions were just a brisk 15 minute walk from my childhood home. My passion for storytelling and history had led me to independently publish several titles (A Summer in Harlem, Camp '67, If I Wrote A Hip-Hop Album, When the Crows Come Home, ...A-Minor, and For Pride, For Country), under my OPAL imprint.

I first discovered my love for writing at 13 when I won first prize at the 2005 "Power of the Pen" competition. Now living in Los Angeles, I continue to create the characters and worlds that I conjure up in my imagination.
